Retainers/Cage
The following retainers are available in most of our Ball Bearings.
Ribbon Retainer/Cage (Symbol R) Ribbon Retainer/Cage (Symbol R)

Made from high precision strip steel, pressed and formed with spherical ball pockets. The male and female retainer halves are caulked together.

Crown Retainer/Cage (Symbol H) Crown Retainer/Cage (Symbol H)

Made from hardened high precision strip steel and pressed into a shape form like a crown.

Plastic Retainer/Cage (Symbol MN etc.) Plastic Retainer/Cage (Symbol MN etc.)

Plastic retainers are offered in a range of materials, such as Nylon 6/6 with glass fiber, and has an advantage for longer life and lower acoustic noise.

Steal Shield Snap Ring Type (Symbol ZZ)


Steel Shield-Snap Ring Type

  (Symbol ZZ)
  Refers to NMB numbering system.

The metal shield is a steel plate secured in the outer ring with a steel snap ring.


Steel Shield-Caulking Type

  (Symbol HH or KK)
  Refers to NMB numbering system.
  (Symbol ZZ)
  Use to JIS numbering system.

The shield is a formed steel plate, pressed into a recess in the outer ring.

 

          Steel Shield Cauling Type (Symbol HH)

Rubber Non-Contact Seal (Symbol SS)


Rubber Non-Contact Steel

  (Symbol SS)
  Refers to NMB & JIS numbering system.

The rubber non-contact seal is constructed with a snap-fit into the outer ring.


Rubber Contact Seal

  (Symbol DD)
  Refers to NMB & JIS numbering system.

Refers to NMB & JIS numbering systems. The rubber contact seal provides a positive contact onto the inner ring and is a snap fit into the outer ring.
