Notes
VR resolvers, an angle sensor based on a variable reluctance method, have a promising future mainly for use in controlling motors in automobile-related applications. VR resolvers are expected to find a wide range of applications, such as in "electric powered steering," "hybrid cars," "electric cars," "integrated starter alternaters," "brake by wires," "steering by wires," "valve controls," etc. in the future. The signal from a VR resolver is an R/D converter-the same as that from a brushless resolver-which is capable of digital conversion.
